On Tuesday, June 15, the Washington County Board of Commissioners designated 151,536 acres of rural reserves within their county. The last of the four commission and council designations, this is the final formal action needed to complete the reserves system across the region.
On June 10, the Metro Council designated 28,165 acres of urban reserves - land that will provide, if needed, future neighborhoods and jobs over the next half century.
